About Aquanauts

Aquanauts provides baby and infant swimming for little ones from birth to around 4 years of age. The company is run by Sara and Greville Kelly, who set up Aquanauts to provide a style of teaching that was not being delivered in Greater Manchester with a friendly face.

Sara, who was previously a food scientist (we are still trying to work out the link between the two vocations!) now teaches in three small private access pools across Greater Manchester and at present delivers all the lessons for Aquanauts.

Aquanauts have adopted the birthlight approach to baby and infant swimming, because we believe it is the best method for ensuring that your little ones time in the water is fun, safe and enjoyable. The birthlight way adopts a child centered approach to baby and infant swimming, which ensures that everything you and your little one do in the water is focused around your own individual needs, abilities and wishes.

In order to wear the birthlight badge, Aquanauts have made significant investments in training and continual professional development. This ensures that Sara has the experience, knowledge and training you would expect, to provide you with an experience unique to Greater Manchester.

Sara is one of just five birthlight qualified teachers in the North West and the only infant aquatics diploma qualified teacher in Greater Manchester. In addition to her diploma Sara is also STA Level 2 pool rescue qualified, STA Level 2 baby and pre-school qualified and has an enhanced CRB check. She is also a mummy!!!
